Above you have the 3 test-sales meetings and the negotiators Daniel, Steve and Victor from Group 1.
You should all attempt a test run before the main event but not until you have prepared and planned your negotiation as you did for the G-Technica simulation. Use a planning sheet like we did in class.
Before you test your sales-meeting technique, therefore, you must make sure that as individuals, you:
- have completed or are continuing to complete your 12 discovery interviews,
- have narrowed down buyer personas and archetypes,
- targeted key values and pain points for which the person you are selling to is amenable to considering Fabulyzer as a solution.
Hi everyone,
ReplyDeleteI'm steve, one of the interviewer.
I wanted to share my thoughts about this interview with you guys.
The interview didn't go well at all for me. For those of you that can understand french, you will understand that i failed very bad. For those of you that don't understand french, here is a little resume of what happened. First of all, i tried to use what we learned in class and i started the interview by trying to get to know the person. Thing is, i wasn't prepared well enought and my questions weren't structured so the person i was interviewing was a very confused and started to counter interrogating me by asking me more questions. The guy was also very hilarious so i couldn't stop laughing and i definitly lost control of the interview. So at that point, it was already game over for me. I still tried close the deal but the other person didn't take me seriously so he just walked out.
My advise for you guys, be prepared. Don't go out there without having some questions prepared and well ordered. Don't take too much time trying to know the other person and don't be afraid of trying to close quickly.
Hope you guys have a better experience than mine.
Good luck !
Reflection on Victor and Steve interview
ReplyDeleteThe first interview I filmed was the interview of Victor. He was really good and well prepared. He started by explaining what fabulyzer is about and the advantages of it. He explained what fabulyzer is about and how much fat burn you lose after a workout. After that, he asked a lot of question to the interviewee. At first he asked some general questions but after he focused more on the activity questions. At some point we can see that he’s not sure how to ask some questions about her weight because it is a delicate subject. But he really did a good job. He answered all her questions and was professional during the interview. He took the time to explain her the contract so there is no misunderstanding.
The second interview I filmed was the interview of Steve. Steve started directly by asking questions about the frequency of physical activity of the interviewee, Loic. But after few questions, the interview just got really not serious. Like they were making fun about the ‘beach shape’ that you need to have for the summer. After this, Steve was really not focus on Loic and started to explain to him his body issues and it was like they switched the role. Loic has started to ask questions to Steve. Steve really lost control of the interview. I don’t think he was prepared well enough for this and Loic always return the question to steve and he just didn't know how to handle it. Loic asked Steve why should I buy this product and he actually did not know what to answer. I don’t think he believes in the product enough to sell it. I think Steve had lost confidence at the beginning of the interview and that is why it didn't work out.
